Our collection is for real solid-wood furniture. That includes both hardwoods and softwoods.

Pine is very much welcome.

Oak, walnut, ash, beech, pine and other solid woods all have a place at Burrland. We consider the condition and construction of each piece individually, rather than accepting only hardwoods.

What we leave out

We do not offer laminate-finished, veneered, MDF or chipboard furniture. A wood-effect surface is not the same as solid wood. Handles, hinges and other functional fittings are described as part of the piece.

Inspected, then described honestly

Before publication, we check the piece’s construction, photograph it and record its dimensions and condition. We only name a wood species when we can verify it. If the species is uncertain, we say so.

Pre-owned, with a story to tell

Marks, repairs and other signs of use are shown in the listing. Read the condition notes, check the measurements and ask us anything you need to know. You can also request a viewing before buying.
